Jacob "Arkanum" Santos was previously a player for Reign. He is well known for his time on teams such as Noble Black and Winterfox.

Halo 2

Arkanum has been playing competitively since 2007 where placed top 24 and top 16 with Arsonist, Deviouz and Elumnite under the banner Ununtrium.

Halo 3

He and Deviouz kept the team name heading into 2008 getting top 32 in the first three events with different teammates each time including Elumnite, Brake and Hunter Jjx. He left to join Driven By Adrenaline for MLG Toronto 2008 getting 18th with Speed, Sypher and Micro. He would not compete again until 2009, returning as a member of Armageddon with Popcorn, Lil Poison and Homicide getting 19th in the Meadowlands. He attended both Columbus and Dallas as a member of Pistol and the Jets with Pistol, Icevayne and Mimic where they would get 11th and 15th to finish in the top 16 both times. He left to join Ambush for the final two events of the year in MLG Anaheim 2009 and MLG Orlando Championships 2009 where he Nexus and Thuggish would get top 24 and top 16 respectively.

Arkanum joined Category 5 for MLG Orlando 2010 with Robbie B, Thrust and Zoo WU for a 13th place finish to start a consistent two year string of top 16 placings. This is more impressive considering he never found stability in 2010. He left Category 5 for Active Rush with old teammates Icevayne and Mimic as well as his current teammate on Noble Black Aries before Columbus where they finished 15th. He then placed 12th in Raleigh as a member of The Other Guys with Aries, Piggy and Jesse Peace. He would attend his final Halo 3 tournament in DC as a member of Genesis alongside old friends Elumnite and Thuggish adding in Legend where he secured 14th.

Halo: Reach

Arknaum started 2011 on Swagger Like Us with Royal 2 and Thrust attending MLG Dallas 2011 with Dersky and finishing 7th. Dersky was swapped with Soldier187 for a 9th place finish in Columbus. He and Royal 2 then joined Brake and Goofy to form Fallen for Anaheim where they would get 13th. He and Royal 2 then joined Fire with Best Man and Clutch for yet another 13th place finish in Raleigh. He and Best Man would join Goofy and Neighbor under the Triggers Down banner for Orlando and Providence where they would finish 6th and 10th respectively. His final Reach event would be MLG Columbus 2012 attending as a member of Rack City with Elumnite, Thuggish and Cpt Anarchy finishing top 24 for his first placing outside the top 16 in two years.

Halo 4

Arkanum competed at only one event during Halo 4. He attended as Vas Avi with Ryanoob, Shooter and Str8 Sick and won his first and only major LAN to date.

Halo 2: Anniversary

Arkanum returned to compete in the HCS, first attending Iron Games Columbus 2014 as a member of Annex Halo, securing a top 12 finish. He then signed with Noble eSports and attended UGC St. Louis 2015 with team Noble Black, finishing 11th. The roster was then radically changed heading into Gamers For Giving 2015 as Aries, Maniac and APG joined the team. Despite high expectations, Arkanum's new team only finished top 12 at G4G, but they managed to hold onto the 8th seed going into the season finals at PAX East 2015. At PAX, Arkanum lead his team to 3rd place, captaining a 4 round losers bracket run that was only narrowly ended by CLG.

Noble Black underwent roster changes in the offseason, with Maniac and APG leaving and being replaced by Ninja and Prototype. The new roster placed 7th at Iron Games Atlanta 2015. On April 29th, Winterfox announced that they had purchased Arkanum's contract from Noble, and Arkanum was joining their Halo squad alongside Randa, Naded and Ryanoob. Arkanum's first event with Winterfox was HCS Indianapolis, where they placed 4th, securing the 3rd seed going into the HCS Season 2 Finals. Arkanum and Winterfox lost a step at the HCS Season 2 Finals, closing out their season with a top 6 finish.

Halo 5: Guardians

Arkanum spent the first months of Halo 5 on Winterfox alongside Ryanoob, Shooter and Randa, but left before the final Halo World Championship 2016 NA Online qualifier to join Team EnVyUs alongside OGRE2, iGotUrPistola and Mikwen. Team EnVyUs finished top 16 at the NA Regional Finals, failing to qualify for Worlds.

  • Was the first player to reach level 50 in the MLG FFA Playlist in Halo 3.
  • Could have had professional status as early as 2008 due to FFA prowess but chose not to attend the National Championship that year.
  • Only attended one Halo 4 event (RTX) but it has proven to be his only major LAN win to date.
  • Has recently become known for his unique look, wearing his trademark hood while playing.
