History

Halo 5: Guardians

On April 11, 2016, Enigma6 announced it's first ever Halo roster consisting of Cratos, Huke, bubu dubu, and Shooter. Huke had previously played for Enigma6's Call of Duty team. Enigma6 was one four teams that was invited to the HCS Pro League Invitational 2016 to compete for the second qualifying spot in the HCS Summer 2016 Pro League due to their acquisition of former Team Allegiance player Cratos. Enigma6 ended up placing 4th after losing 1-3 to both OpTic Gaming and Team EnVyUs. A stronger Enigma6 showed up at the following event - the Summer Qualifier. They went 2-0 in their group, defeating Denial eSports 3-0 and OpTic Gaming 4-1 to earn a spot in the Pro League. In the 4th week of the Pro League season, Enigma6 made headlines when they became not only the first team to defeat Counter Logic Gaming since X Games Aspen 2016, but the first team to even hold a lead over them in a series since that same event. E6 ended the season on a 9-win streak, the longest of any team in the League. They finished in 2nd place, behind only CLG. At the Season Finals, E6 were knocked out of the Winners' Bracket early in a 4-2 loss to Team EnVyUs. Looking to avoid an early exit from the tournament, E6 came out on fire in the Losers' Bracket, defeating Cloud9 4-2 to secure a rematch with EnVyUs. This time, they defeated nV in an intense 7-game series, earning a berth in the finals against CLG. They were unable to translate their online victory over CLG to even a single map win, losing 4-0.

During the offseason, members of E6 were adamant that the team was going to stay together. The team even posted a video which showed Cratos being pranked, with his teammates claiming that Huke wanted to team with Snip3down and that they were following him. Ironically, the next day, Huke actually did end up leaving to join Snip3down on Team EnVyUs. Cratos and bubu opted to move forward as a duo under E6, enlisting the services of Suspector of Evil Geniuses and StelluR to fill out the roster. With no spot on the new roster, Shooter left the organization to join Team Allegiance. These moves were all made official on August 25. Enigma6 was the only Pro League team to attend 2050 Chattanooga, an open LAN event with a $7,500 prize pool. E6 won the event without losing a series, though they did face adversity in the finals against a squad made up of top-tier Open Circuit talent, going down 0-2 in the series before bouncing back with 3 straight wins to take the event. On September 12, shortly after Chattanooga, StelluR made a post on the Team Beyond forums claiming that he had been dropped from E6, citing salary concerns among other issues. The organization confirmed the release of StelluR later that day. Despite his release, StelluR remained on the team's active roster due to ESL's team change rules. In the team's first match of the season, against OpTic Gaming, multiple incidents occurred, including Enigma6 forfeiting Game 1 and StelluR being kicked out of the game, later alleging that his teammate(s) had accessed his account in order to make this happen. The match the following week went without incident. The following week, ESL announced the team's punishment, stating that they (including StelluR) would lose 5% of their season's earnings, with Cratos losing an additional 5% for additional rule violations. On October 6, after a 3-3 start to the Pro League, E6 reacquired Shooter from Team Allegiance, replacing StelluR and reforming three quarters of the Summer roster. Three days later, the new E6 roster attended HCS Orange County 2016. In the Winners Semifinals, they were defeated by Team EnVyUs, leading to a tough draw against Team Liquid in the match for top 4. They were defeated 3-1 by Liquid, resulting in a top 6 finish despite only losing to Pro League teams. A few weeks later, E6 attended UGC St. Louis 2016. They defeated fellow Pro League teams Team Allegiance and Evil Geniuses (featuring StelluR) en route to the finals, where they met Truce, a hybrid lineup consisting of members of Team EnVyUs and OpTic Gaming. They were defeated 3-1 in the Finals by Truce, taking 2nd place. The new E6 lineup was only able to win one match over the remainder of the Pro League season, ultimately finishing in 7th with a 4-10 record and facing potential Relegation. At HCS Las Vegas 2016, E6 looked to have another strong LAN performance, but they met a setback in a 3-2 loss to EG in the second round. In Losers', E6 were upset 3-2 by fellow Relegation team 3sUP, casting doubt on their ability to retain their spot at Relegation. E6 finished top 8 overall in Vegas. At Relegation, E6 chose to face 3sUP rather than The MoneyMatches Team, and defeated them in a very close 4-3 match. This, followed by a 4-2 victory over Team Allegiance, sealed the deal as E6 kept its spot in the Pro League.

On December 29, during the offseason, Suspector left Enigma6 to join Problem Solvers. On January 14, Enigma6 announced the release of its Halo roster, withdrawing from the scene.
