Brandon "Defy" Jenkins is a retired professional Halo player. He is well known for his time on LeGendZ, Str8 Rippin and Carbon.

Biography

Brandon Jenkins was born on January 12, 1987. He is from Waldorf, Maryland.

Halo: CE

Defy's professional Halo career began in 2004, as a member of PSF with Mack, Stunner and Thor. They placed 22nd at MLG Atlanta 2004.

Halo 2

2005

Defy's Halo career took off in 2005, earning his first top 8 placing at MLG D.C. as a member of LeGendZ with Gandhi, Mack and Vash. He would build on this success in Houston, placing 4th with Tsquared in place of Mack. He then attended St. Louis as a member of Monglers Cwell Fellas and placed 6th. He reached a career high 3rd place in Philadelphia with Mack, Vash and McGavinIsWack as RoS. He repeated the placing with Cpt Anarchy in place of McGavin as Monglers LeGendZ in Las Vegas. He and Vash then linked up with Gandhi and Zyos, and the newly formed IGS Monglers squad took 1st in Nashville. Zyos and Vash were then replaced by Karma and Shockwav3, and the new IGS squad won again in Seattle. Defy would then spend the rest of 2005 on LeGendZ with Vash and Toxin. They took 4th in Los Angeles with Mack, 3rd and 5th in Chicago and Atlanta with Cpt Anarchy, and 5-6th at the New York National Championships with Tsquared.

2006

Defy started out 2006 on Str8 Rippin with Tsquared, Fonzi and Foulacy. The roster started off strong, taking 2nd place at the first two events of the season in New York and Dallas. They then placed 3rd in Anaheim, and 7th in Chicago, resulting in the departure of Defy to reform LeGendZ. The new roster consisted of Defy, Mack, Vash and Strongside. They started off with a poor 8th placing in Orlando, but stuck together and improved with 5th at the New York Playoffs. They then took 4th at the Las Vegas National Championships.

2007

2007 was a less successful year for Defy. For the first four events of the season, he tried various LeGendZ lineups, but could not muster a placing higher than 11th. Finally, at Orlando, Defy and LeGendZ experienced a degree of success again as they placed 7th with a roster of Defy, Darkfury, Dysphoria and PistoL, but the roster would not fare so well at the Las Vegas National Championships, placing 10th.

Halo 3

2008

Defy and LeGendZ started Halo 3 off with a career worst 23rd placing in Meadowlands. He then joined The Influence with Lowkin, TalenT and Twylight, but managed only 18th in San Diego. A reformed PSF with Best Man, FeaR and Gandhi would fare slightly better, placing 12th in Orlando, but it took the reformation of Legendz with Best Man, Gandhi and Legend for Defy to break back into the top 8, finishing 8th in both Dallas and the Las Vegas National Championships.

2009

Defy started off 2009 as a member of VG The New Order with Best Man, Karma and Naded. They placed 9th in Meadowlands but broke up soon after. Defy's career resurgence would finally come as he joined Carbon. The initial lineup of Defy, Cpt Anarchy, GH057ayame and Shockwav3 would manage only 8th in Columbus, but Carbon then replaced GH057ayame and Cpt Anarchy with Naded and Walshy. The new roster would finish 2nd in Dallas, and close out the year with back to back 3rd finishes in Anaheim and at the Orlando National Championships.

2010

Despite the good placings the late-2009 Carbon roster achieved, it split up in the off season with Shockwav3 retiring, and Carbon started 2010 with a roster of Defy, Walshy, Best Man and Strongside. They placed 11th in Orlando, and Strongside was then replaced with Naded. This lineup took 6th in Columbus, but Best Man would then leave and be replaced by SK, leading to a 13th place finish in Raleigh. Defy and Naded then left Carbon to rejoin Str8 Rippin with Tsquared and GH057ayame, but it would only last one event, as Str8 would place 9th in D.C. and fail to qualify for the Dallas National Championships. Defy retired after the 2010 season.

Trivia
