Wise Gaming is an American esports organization.
History
Halo 5: Guardians
Wise Gaming made its entry into the Halo scene on February 23, 2017, acquiring three players from the Sheesh Gaming roster in the form of Cloud, ROB THE TURTLE, and BotchyHawk as well as KuavoKen. The roster looked to qualify for Halo World Championship 2017 at ME Las Vegas 2017. They successfully made it out of the Open Bracket, but could beat only Lethal Gaming in the Championship Bracket and finished top 12 after losses to Str8 Rippin and Pnda Gaming. Wise's Worlds hopes ended the following week when they finished top 6 in the Last Chance Qualifier.
During the offseason, a new Wise roster was assembled, with only Captain Cloud remaining from the former roster. He brought in the veteran TiZoXiC as well as Juziro and Artic. This roster made it out of the Open Bracket at UMG Daytona 2017 with a perfect record, but they were defeated by their first opponent in the Championship Bracket - Ronin Esports. In Losers, they defeated Atria United before falling 3-1 to Splyce in the following round and going home with a top 12 finish. Wise had a strong presence in the free-for-all portion of the event, as TiZoXiC and Juziro finished 1st and 2nd, respectively. Following Daytona, Cloud temporarily left the Wise roster to play for Believe the Hype in the Last Chance Qualifier. They ultimately failed to qualify and Cloud returned to the Wise roster. Weeks later, Wise debuted a new roster, swapping out Juziro and Artic for DEMON D and Sorrell. After mixed results in the first two Open Circuit cups, Wise made a change as Sorrell was replaced by a returning Juziro. Despite a strong finish in Week #3, Juziro and Wise parted ways as Wise brought in Nebula to replace him. With Nebula on board, Wise finished second in the final cup of the season and in the top sixteen at DreamHack Atlanta. The roster disbanded in the following weeks.
Wise returned to Halo during the Halo World Championship 2018 season, fielding a roster of D3M0N D, Nebula, Gilkey, and KLTNn. The roster was officially confirmed on January 21, following back to back top 8 finishes in Gamebattles cups. After briefly replacing KLTNn with SneakyBran, Wise brought KLTNn back going into MLG Orlando. In Orlando, Wise were able to secure a spot in the group stage after winning through the open bracket. Wise finished fourth in their pool and after losing to Fyra Gaming, finished in the top sixteen overall. Following Orlando, Wise made a high profile pickup, replacing KLTNn with Commonly. After finishing third in their pool at MLG Columbus, Wise were placed in a wildcard bracket with three other teams, which they won after a 3-1 win over Armada Esports, securing the very last spot for Worlds and the first appearance at the prestigious event for everyone on the team but Commonly. At Worlds, Wise finished third in their pool, handily beating Mindfreak but losing to Renegades and TOX Gaming, resulting in a top twelve finish.
