MLG Washington, D.C. 2010 was the fourth event of the 2010 MLG season, taking place at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Oxen Hill, Maryland from October 15 - 17, 2010. Halo 3 was played in 4v4 and FFA competition alongside Halo: Reach in amateur 4v4 competition, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and StarCraft II.

• Open Bracket
  • Teams seeded below 16 placed in bracket
  • Top 16 teams advance to various positions in CB, depending on where they finished
  • Double-elimination, best of 3 series
    • Extended Series rule: best of 5 series starting 2-0, or 2-1 based on result of previous meeting
• Championship Bracket
  • Teams seeded 1-12 placed in WB Round 2
  • Teams seeded 13-16 placed in WB Round 1
  • Non-elimination Placement Bracket matches occur for teams losing in WB Rounds 1-3 to determine LB placement
  • Teams losing in LB Rounds 1-8 participate in consolation matches to determine exact placing
  • Double-elimination, best of 5 series
    • Extended Series rule: best of 11 series starting with the end score of previous meeting
