Douglas "Musa" Musa is a Halo esports player, previously a player for Trifecta. He has also played for teams like eRa Eternity, GosuCrew, Earthroot Gaming, and SetToDestroyX.

Biography

Halo 5: Guardians

Musa first broke onto the scene in Summer 2016, competing in the Summer Pro League qualifiers on team Catastrophe with Brainstorm, TriPPPeY, and Renegade. The team was unable to qualify for the Pro League and split up shortly after. Musa then found himself on French Toast Mafia with Rammyy, Gabriel, and Cloud. Despite a strong start to the Open Circuit season, Musa parted ways with French Toast Mafia three weeks in. He bounced from team to team for a few weeks, ultimately not qualifying for the Open Circuit finals on team Torment with BabyJ, Exemplify, and KingNick.

Musa returned to action in the middle of the Fall Open Circuit, joining team SyA with Blaze, Burton, and BotchyHawk. After cementing themselves as a top team in the Open Circuit, SyA were signed by SetToDestroyX. Musa did not attend ME Las Vegas with the team, however.

Going into Halo World Championship 2017 season, Musa joined Earthroot Gaming alongside BotchyHawk, Chaser, and ROB THE TURTLE. The team disbanded after a top sixteen placing at Musa's first major event - UGC St. Louis. After another two weeks of team hopping, Musa found himself on a team with Artic, Brainstorm, and TireIron, signed by Second Nature. The team finished in the top sixteen at ME Las Vegas. A new Second Nature roster consisting of Musa, TireIron, BabyJ, and Kaotic was also unable to qualify in the LCQ.

Kicking off the Summer 2017 season, Musa picked up another top sixteen placing with Atria United at UMG Daytona, playing alongside TireIron, Brainstorm, and Kaiss. After his team Take Two with Chaser, KingNick, and Rammyy failed to qualify for the Pro League, Musa and Chaser joined Incendiary alongside Vtec and Triton. The roster was signed by Gosu Crew and attended DreamHack Atlanta, where they finished in the top twelve.

Musa left Gosu Crew during the offseason, eventually joining eRa Eternity alongside Cratos, Neptune, and Str8 SicK. After establishing themselves as a top team in the Fall 2017 Open Circuit, eRa attended DreamHack Denver, where they finished in the top sixteen.

For Halo World Championship 2018 season, Musa joined Oreos alongside DasTroyed, Rammyy, and Nemassist. The team was signed by Str8 Rippin and attended MLG Orlando, where Musa earned his first top eight finish. Str8 finished second in their pool again at MLG Columbus, earning themselves a spot at Worlds. In their first bracket match, they lost 3-0 to Tox (former OpTic roster). In losers, they very nearly upset Team EnVyUs but fell 3-2 and finished in the top eight. At Worlds, Str8 finished second in their pool, losing only to Splyce. In the championship bracket, Str8 were swept back to back by Team Reciprocity and Elevate, ultimately being sent home in the top eight.
